Because the youngest member of our pack had not yet had a holiday, we felt compelled to go out. Our Jack, Jacky, Jacker or Jacko is an animal that needs a lot of exercise, so we could not help but make a trek.
The Val Maira in the Italian Alps had been in my mind for years. It would seem to be an authentic valley with beautiful nature, old villages and of course good food. It fully met our expectations.š
